leed & green projects
ProWest is proud to be part of the
Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design
(LEED) movement. Our San Clemente
Student Housing Project located on the University
of California, Santa Barbara campus was awarded
LEED GOLD. Completed in April 2008,
this project was the largest student housing
complex ever constructed on a University
of California system campus. The project
totaled 375,000 square feet, housed 977 students,
and was designed by Fields Devereaux Architects & Engineers.
In July 2010 ProWest completed the University
of California, Merced Student Housing 3 project;
it was awarded a LEED GOLD certification.
The University of California, Merced campus
strives to be the "GREENEST" campus in the
state of California. The 95,000 square foot
project provides housing for 320 students
and was designed by Pyatok Architects, Inc.
The San Diego County Examiners and Forensics
Center has LEED SILVER certification pending. Reaching
LEED SILVER on a laboratory project was
a difficult endeavor, accomplished through
the teamwork of ProWest Constructors, Harley
Ellis Devereaux Architects, and the County
of San Diego.

use of BIM on all of its complex construction
projects. We recognize that all sophisticated
project owners are requiring their Design
and Construction disciplines to use this
design tool. BIM has proven to enhance the
construction experience by reducing problems
and errors during the course of construction
